Schools play a key role in making healthy choices for children and also teaching children to make healthy choices for themselves. In today’s busy world, this isn’t always easy. So, here in Krabi International school we provide a healthy balance and choice for lunch times, which is made up of 3 basic categories consisting of ‘Vegetables’ then ‘Potatoes, Rice, Pasta etc‘ and lastly ‘Meat, Fish, Poultry, Dairy’. Other categories include fruits, water etc. We have also made things a bit competitive with our daily ‘I’m a Healthy Eater’ score board.
Currently all our vegetables are bought from local sources and looking forward we will soon be able to produce our own vegetables in our very own hydroponic farm which is currently being built.
Our main source for meat is a Phuket based company who supply us with their ‘Really Good’ range of traditionally hand crafted patties & sausages. They only use locally farmed free-range meats, do not add any fillers, artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives.
